We Checked Everything We Could

After a few failed transfers,
we started to look for answers.

At first, it felt like there must be something we missed.
Something small, something hidden.

So we began checking.

One test led to another.

We checked the tubes.
Went through hormone and immune-related tests.
Looked into the uterus more closely.

There were procedures I hadn’t even heard of before.
Scratching the lining, infusions…
things that were supposed to help improve the chances.

We also tested the embryos.

Each step felt like we were getting closer
to understanding what was wrong.

But the results kept coming back the same.

Nothing obvious.

No clear reason why it wasn’t working.

I remember asking quietly,
what else can we still check?

And the answer, at some point, became—

we’ve already checked most of it.

It was a strange place to be in.

Everything looked “fine”.
But nothing was happening.

Not knowing what the problem was
felt harder than having one.

Because there was nothing to fix,
and nowhere specific to go next.
