Journey 06 — We Thought It Was Starting Again
It didn’t fail in the same way every time.
Sometimes it started.
A test would show two lines,
and for a moment, it felt like something was finally happening.
But it never stayed.
Not once,
not twice —
enough times that the pattern became familiar.
And even after IVF,
that pattern didn’t completely disappear.
This series follows what it felt like
to keep starting again,
without knowing if it would hold.
What Started, But Didn’t Stay
Part 1 — It Happened Like This More Than Once
Each time it began the same way — a positive result, followed by something that didn’t continue.
Part 2 — When One Became Two, Then None
A pregnancy progressed further this time, even becoming twins — before it stopped again.
Part 3 — The Ones We Weren’t Sure About
The embryos we had less confidence in were the ones that stayed.
Not every journey moves forward in a straight line.
Some start,
stop,
and start again in ways that are hard to make sense of.
There were moments that felt familiar,
and moments that didn’t.
And somewhere along the way,
something finally stayed —
even if it didn’t happen the way we expected.
