Something We Didn’t Know Was There

After that loss, time moved, but not in a way that felt clear.

A few months later, I got pregnant naturally.

For a moment, it felt unexpected. Like maybe things could happen without planning every step again.

But it didn’t last.

Around 10 weeks, it ended in a miscarriage.

There wasn’t much to hold on to from that either. Just another point where things stopped without much explanation.

When we prepared for the next transfer, something else came up.

During the checks, the doctor noticed part of the uterus wasn’t as it should be. There was some adhesion. It was explained that it might be related to what happened before, possibly from earlier procedures.

Not something we had known at the time.

Not something we could have planned for.

But it was there now.

Before moving forward, we were told it needed to be addressed. So we went through another procedure to correct it.

At that point, it didn’t feel like a big decision anymore.

It just felt like one more step we had to take before trying again.
